The WITNESS Teacher Orientation Seminar on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 8am-12:30pm at Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis. Each WITNESS partner school is required to send at least one representative to the seminar, but we encourage all teachers involved in the program to attend.
This year’s seminar will provide teachers with engaging and enriching professional development that will prepare them for the 2011-2012 WITNESS School Program. Composer Hannibal Lokumbe will speak about his new composition, In the Spirit of Being, which is the focus of this year's program. Teachers will also sample activities from the 2011-2012 Teacher Resource Guide and have the opportunity to meet the WITNESS Teaching Artists. Teachers will receive CEUs from Augsburg College for their participation. The cost for the seminar is $20 per teacher, which includes CEUs from Augsburg College, parking and refreshments, and a copy of the 2011-2012 Teacher’s Resource Guide and Companion CD. Questions?
